ANNOUNCEMENTS

Information Regarding October 16 Late Arrival

We want to draw your attention to a change in the late arrival calendar for this week. Normally, the school does not have a late arrival during a shortened week, but there will be one this week on October 16, 2024. Originally, District 225 anticipated October 16 would be a testing day but now the PSAT/NMSQT is scheduled for October 23. For all other late arrivals, please review the school calendar and 'Upcoming Events' in the Weekly Update.

Emergency Test Message - October 16

Glenbrook High School District 225 values strong communication between home and school. It's important that families receive timely updates, especially in emergencies or inclement weather. To ensure this, please take a moment to review and update your contact information in PowerSchool. This will allow you to receive emergency notifications through our mass notification system, School Messenger.

Update Your Contact Information

If your phone number or email in PowerSchool is incorrect, please update it using our Contact Update Form.

Text Messaging in Emergencies

Although the district rarely uses text messaging for routine communication with students, staff, and families, we are set up to use it in case of emergencies. If you opted out of text messages in another district, that preference has carried over to District 225 through School Messenger, a system used nationwide.

Opt-In for Text Messages

If you would like to receive text messages, simply text "Y" to 67587 to provide your consent.

Test Message

As part of School Emergency Preparedness Week, the district will send a test message to all students, staff, and family members to ensure everyone is receiving messages. This test will occur on Wednesday, October 16, at 7 p.m., via email, phone, and text.

If you do not receive the test message or need help updating your contact information, please contact the Glenbrook Help Desk at helpdesk@glenbrook225.org.
