Bus Pass Purchase Information for the 2025–26 School Year - School Starts on August 14, 2025.
|
Families interested in bus transportation for the 2025–26 school year may purchase a bus pass now.
|
- Cost: $1,000 for the first student
- Sibling Rate: $500 per additional student in the same household
|
Bus routes and stops are created based on the addresses of students who purchase bus passes by Monday, June 30. We strongly encourage families to purchase early to benefit from a more convenient bus stop location.
Passes purchased after June 30 will only be accommodated if space is available and will be assigned to an existing route. Unfortunately, we are unable to make exceptions to this guideline and do not accept requests to add or modify bus stops.
|
When planning routes, First Student will follow the guidelines below:
|
- Routes are approximately 45–60 minutes, including typical traffic conditions.
- Buses travel along major streets and stop at designated intersections—they do not enter subdivisions.
- Routes are designed to minimize street crossings near high-traffic areas or construction zones.
- Routes and stops may be adjusted due to road closures, traffic patterns, or other unforeseen factors. Any changes will be communicated by email as early as possible.
- Two students are seated per bench.
|
Final bus routes and stop locations will be posted on the District website and emailed to parents and students no later than Monday, August 11.
|

Northbrook of Chamber visits GBN Incubator's for Small Business Week
|
For National Small Business Week, the Northbrook Chamber of Commerce organized a week of entrepreneurs to visit with GBN's Business Incubator class. Students were inspired by the way the business owners combined their prior career experience, skill set, and passion to improve products and services in their industry. Thank you to the following entrepreneurs for their time and support of our business students:
|
- Rick Rosenfeld, Journey Softly
- Gail Eisenberg, Gail's Brownies
- Stephen Kohler, Audira Labs
- Robin Nasiter, Painted Penguin
- Lise Schleicher, Basketworks
- Tom Len, Len Custom Homes
- Jamie and Billy Tyler, Mima's Taste of Cuba Restaurant
- Aaron Stash, The Electric Home Company
- Julie Hardegree, ProAuto
- Bryant Lee, Qleanse and Drill Pickle
|
As students reflected they noted how they heard about the importance of networking and mentoring. Not only that, they see how the Northbrook Chamber of Commerce has a strong community of business owners that not only help each other but help the community.
