High school can be both exciting and challenging, and it’s important for students to know that support is always available. Whether they need someone to talk to, guidance through a difficult time, or a way to share a concern, our student services team is here to help. There are several resources in place to ensure that students and staff have access to the support they need.
Staff and students can visit the student services department without an appointment if they need to talk with someone. In addition, counseling support is available at the Glenbrook School Health Center.
Other resources include:
|
- Text-A-Tip: a 24/7
- Anonymous text-communication system for youth needing immediate mental health assistance for themselves or a friend.
- GBN: text “GBN HELP” and their message to (844) 823-5323
- Spartan/Titan Concern Form
- Students can submit anonymous communication to Glenbrook North High School regarding the safety of themselves or others. Click here if you wish to submit a tip.
|
No one should have to navigate challenges alone—help is always within reach. We encourage students and staff to take advantage of these resources and reach out whenever support is needed.

PEER Services and GNCY Parent Survey
|
PEER Services and the Glenview Northbrook Coalition for Youth (GNCY) are collaborating to conduct a brief, anonymous survey to better understand what sources of information parents and caregivers in our community trust and rely on. Your input will help our substance use prevention agency, local prevention coalitions, and other public health partners improve outreach efforts to support the health and well-being of local teens. By participating, you'll help strengthen how we connect with families and support community health.

Presentations to the Board On January 27, 2025, the Board of Education heard several presentations.
6.1 - Strategic Planning Update On August 12, 2024, the Glenbrook High School District 225 Board of Education approved the final strategic plan focus areas and core values. The final mission and vision were approved on October 28, 2024. Across two district-wide administrative meetings and numerous cabinet sessions, high-impact projects were determined to achieve the goals set forth in the strategic plan. Dr. Johns provided an update on the progress to date.
6.2 - Status Report Regarding Board Directives Following the Glenbrook South Yearbook Investigation Following the conclusion of the investigation into the Glenbrook South yearbook program, the Board of Education directed the administration to address eight concerns that materialized during the investigation. As applicable, each directive has been outlined, and activities relating to the directive have been organized into two categories: completed and in progress. Completed activities identify the approximate completion date, while in-progress activities identify the administrator(s) taking the lead on an activity and a projected timeline. This presentation serves as the second status report to the Board and community, with subsequent reports forthcoming.
6.3 - D34 TrueNorth Withdrawal Request District 34 is petitioning to withdraw from TrueNorth. As part of the withdrawal process, the other member district boards of education must approve District 34's petition to withdraw. The board and administration had a second discussion about the petition and its implications for students in District 225. The District 225 Board of Education unanimously approved a resolution allowing District 34 to withdraw from TrueNorth.
6.4 - Enrollment Forecast Update for 2024-25 Since the 2014-15 school year, the school district has performed two types of enrollment projections: population forecast (calculated by an external demographer) and cohort survival (calculated by staff). These projections have become essential tools for long-range planning and budgeting purposes. As a result, these tools are updated annually using October 1 enrollment counts as recorded in PowerSchool and summary data provided by our elementary feeder school districts (27, 28, 30, 31, and 34). Dr. Gravel provided an update on the population forecast.
In addition, he discussed the 2024-25 Subdivision Yield Analysis conducted by Woolpert to determine the potential growth for planned housing developments and the impact it has on the Glenbrook 225 and feeder district student population. By providing this subdivision yield analysis to the District, it will be better equipped to make decisions impacted by future enrollment.
