COMMUNITY EVENTS

Join CATCH for a Practical Workshop

November 18
7 p.m.
Northbrook United Methodist Church 1109 Western Ave

CATCH was thrilled to welcome over 300 people to our conversation about The Anxious Generation by Jonathon Haidt!  Our community gathered to openly discuss the importance of free-range childhoods and the dangers of overparenting.  We talked about the effects of cell phone and social media use on our children and began to think about what we can DO to reverse the mental health crisis. It was an amazing, empowering evening!

CATCH invites everyone to part two - a collaborative hands-on workshop where we will create a practical how-to guide that will empower us all to combat our kids' anxiety.

Join GNCY for a FREE fall parent webinar series presented by Aaron Weiner, PhD, ABPP.

Today’s teenagers are connected to their screens more strongly than at any point in history, and businesses have emerged to meet them (and keep them) there.
Join Dr. Weiner and GNCY to explore the three most prominent categories of compulsive tech use - video games, gambling, and social media – and discuss how parents can help their teens navigate the increasingly complicated landscape of their digital world.
